Wit and Whimsey Evening - Saturday 12th September, 7.30pm

The church in Hambleden is needing extensive re-wiring and re-decorating and so villagers in Hambleden have been doing a number of fund raising events. To this end we have an evening of music and spoken word all performed by local people called “Wit and Whimsy” on Saturday 12th September at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.

Tickets: £10 adults and £8 children - available from the Village Stores.

Drinks and refreshments will be available during the interval.

A SPRING CONCERT with Imperial College chamber choir.
4.00 pm, Saturday 21st March,
St. Mary the Virgin, Hambleden

Programme includes Music by Monteverdi, Gabrielli and Hassler among others.

Admission Free with a retiring collection in aid of the Church lighting fund and the choir.

Afternoon tea served afterwards in the village hall.

NEW CARETAKER

Charles and Linda Wigfull, who have (jointly and severally) been the Hall caretaker for the past two and a half years, retired at the end of January. They have been instrumental in helping us transform the Hall over recent years, and we wish them all the very best in their new home in Stonor.

The new caretaker is Jamie Baker, who lives in the adjacent cottage. Jamie designed and established the lovely garden and hanging baskets that so enhanced the hall last summer. His contact details can be found on the Contacts page.
